Committees

There are many different opportunities for NEJC Chamber members to get involved with programs and events. These decision-making positions work with Chamber staff to to help plan and execute major events and act as strong representatives of the Chamber.

 

Annual Gala Committee 

The Annual Dinner is the Chamber’s signature event each year. The committee works on the concept and details of the Gala, securing sponsorships and auction item donations, as well as inviting Chamber members and the community to attend this signature event. The Annual Gala Committee meets from March to November.

 

Golf Classic Committee

The Golf Classic Committee plans the Chamber’s Annual Golf Classic that is held each year in June. Committee members secure sponsorship and prizes for the tournament, invite Chamber members to participate as golfers and volunteers, and manage all details of the day’s events. This committee meets from January to June.

 

Legislative Affairs Committee 

The Legislative Committee meets to discuss issues for the upcoming legislative session and establishes a legislative agenda to communicate to our elected officials. The committee continues to serve as a voice on legislative issues for area businesses throughout the year. This committee primarily meets around the legislative session from November to April.

 

Leadership NEJC Advisory Committee

The Leadership NEJC Advisory Committee is made up of seven program graduates, including the president and vice president of the two most recent classes and a chamber board member. The committee assists in promoting the program, referring qualified applicants, recommending curriculum based on program experience, and supporting the program facilitator at designated sessions.
